Frida's popularity
In your opinion, what largely drew attention to Frida — her artwork or lifestyle or relationships? She is now a recognized and valued artist, but during her lifetime, Frida’s paintings did not get much attention. To what do you attribute this late recognition and current popularity of her artwork?

In my opinion Frida's artwork and lifestyle were one and the same so both drew attention to her. During her lifetime she was known for her free spirit and individualism. Now her work is finally recognized for the same reasons. she did not advertise her artwork much at first and when people finally began to notice she was critiqued for her way of living.

hey its josh. I think the reason that frida was not recognized because she was a victom of the times. The revolutionary war. Her marrage was to a more promonent artist. and it seemes that she was most recognized for the works that came from her sadness than her joy.
